I didn’t know how to reach out and ask for help without seeming needy, annoying, or clingy. This drained my energy, pushed my body to its maximum limits, and put others in pain as they inevitably watched me fall.
Every day, I woke up and dreaded what lay ahead. I became so focused on seeking out negativity that it came to me in abundance. Despite having supportive family members and friends, I was constantly a dark cloud amongst the group.
I felt that I could only experience split moments of joy in a day. Once I learned how to take control of my perspective and lean into positive habit stacking, I was able to see all the good that life has to offer & had more resiliency on those tougher days.
I was constantly sharing my struggles and downfalls with anyone around me who would stay long enough to listen…I talked and talked about the same issues and took everyone’s advice as truth.
The more that I listened to other people’s advice, the more I realized that they did not fully understand my situation and how could they.…? While I was appreciative of their time & attention, they ultimately did not know what was going on.
I quickly learned that the only person who could help me get onto a better path was by taking the initiative myself.
